“I participated in the Equip Hotel discussion on wellness. It was an interesting panel moderated by Amandine Dubessay, president of the Club Tourisme et Management at HEC Paris, and Heidi Miller, an entrepreneur and consultant in the hospitality and restaurant sector. My fellow panelists were Jean-Louis Poiroux, the founder of Cinq Mondes, and Olivier Petit, the managing director of In Extenso Tourism, Culture, and Hospitality.
Below is a short video where we discuss Accor’s wellness strategy.
“We began to address wellness at Accor strategically in 2014. We created a global platform for all the luxury brands in our portfolio, centered around four fundamental pillars. The first pillar is sleep, which is of course a very logical topic for the hospitality industry. The second pillar is food. The third is sports and movement. And the fourth is care. These four pillars were then implemented in several vertical business units that are part of the hotel: the room, the restaurant, and the bar.”
“The pillars have been implemented across all our hotels. We use them as a strategic blueprint. Each hotel has its own way of implementing the pillars, depending on its brand. Our approach starts at the macro level and continues at the micro level in each hotel to ensure integration into the local environment.”
